Background
Christ the Worker Church evolved from the placing of a Curate in the new Parlaunt Road estate in the 1970s. When the land adjacent to the vicarage became available, it was purchased by the church, and with the aid of the local council, a church and community room was built. This has been extended with the addition of a sanctuary and smaller meeting room, and provides a pleasant and intimate worship centre as well as being of use for other purposes in the community. The church is next to the garage on Parlaunt Road. |

New Hall
After years of
planning, preparation and fund-raising, Christ the Worker's New
Hall was finally begun in January 2008. It was completed in May
2008 and dedicated on Sunday 4th May 2008 by the Right Rev Dr
Alan Wilson, Bishop of Buckingham.
The hall is a
Community Hall for use by the entire community. This provides
additional space, more convenience, and allows the original
church hall to remain as a church hall used purely for worship.

the occasional occurrence of a 5th Sunday, the Church holds its
Holy Communion Service, but makes it slightly more informal than
